OfficeSuite Professional 6

Tonight I was excited to find out that OfficeSuite Professional 6, an app for the Nook Color and Nook Tablet that has been on my wishlist for quite some time, was on sale for $0.99 -- down from $14.99!  Of course, I snatched it up right away.

(If you think you might be interested, be sure to get it now -- the sale probably will only be for a couple more days.  I suspect it was just for the holiday weekend!)

I wanted the app so that I could transfer work files -- Word documents for things I am writing, Excel spreadsheets for keeping track of work income, expenses and mileage, etc. -- to my Nook, for times when I don't have my laptop with me or cannot use it for some reason.  For instance, it would be really nice to be able to keep track of my work-related mileage right from my Nook, since I always carry it in my purse.

So far, I'm really impressed with the app.  Everything looks and feels just like Microsoft software, except on a tablet.  It's really easy to download files by linking to Dropbox, Google Docs, or a couple of others (I have only those two).  I've already discovered that when working on a file from Google Docs, I can either work on the file and save it right to my online account (so long as I have an Internet connection, of course), or save it to my tablet in order to work on it and save my changes when I don't have a wifi connection.  The app also enables me to create a new file if I need to.

Overall, this is a great app, and would have been extremely useful for my work at any price, but I sure am glad I was able to get it for only 99 cents!
